Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 7:30AM

Presented in partnership with the Glen Ellyn Park District

Dig deep into the closet or drawer for that special sweater that has provided such holiday cheer and memories to share on the streets of Glen Ellyn with your fellow neighbors and friends. If you don’t have a holiday sweater for the occasion, use your festive imagination to inspire and create a masterpiece to wear as you shuffle through downtown, around Lake Ellyn, and Glenbard West High School. Route

The 2022 Christmas Sweater Shuffle begins and ends in downtown Glen Ellyn on Main Street. There will be one aid station around the 1.6-mile point and each mile will be marked.

CSS Course Map

The 5K (3.1 miles) distance requires everyone to complete the race in the 1-hour time limit (19 minutes/mile pace) before roads need to reopen. Please ensure that you can complete the distance in this timeframe, otherwise be prepared to move to sidewalks and follow regular pedestrian rules back to the finish.

Age Limit

Kids and adults of all ages are encouraged to participate in this Sweater Shuffle! Everyone must preregister for this race, regardless of age, and sign the electronic waiver at the time of registration.

Spectators

Spectators are able to watch Shufflers at the start, finish, or anywhere along the course. Spectators are also welcome to join in the post-event festivities. We highly encourage residents along the route to cheer on the Shufflers and show your holiday spirit. It would be great to have “holiday themed” neighborhoods in residential areas that could become annual traditions.
